Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fulfill the role of Pineland Area Manager for both the North and South Pineland exercise areas in support of the Special Forces Qualification Course. This position requires expertise in unconventional warfare (UW) and the ability to effectively supervise Lane Managers within the assigned region. The Area Manager will play a crucial role in scenario development, operational continuity, and training support for the Cadre team and contracted role players.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise Lane Managers within the North and South Pineland exercise areas.
• Develop training scenarios with scripts and Desired Student Response (Objective) in alignment with program requirements.
• Provide operational and support continuity for Cadre lanes during changeovers.
• Assist in the training of students, both actively and in a support role.
• Manage contracted role players including G-Chief, OPFOR, and Guerrilla Force.
• In-process contracted role players and ensure preparedness for their roles during the culmination exercise (CULEX).
• Establish and operate an Operations Center (OPCEN) to track current and future operations.
• Coordinate auxiliary transportation, facilities, and role players within the scenario.
• Attend all Cadre Team briefings before operations and back-brief the Cadre on proposed role-playing details.
• Assist with post-operation activities including After Actions Reports and maintenance tasks.
• Develop and maintain continuity products such as Area Manager Book, G Chief Book, and Land Use Agreement Book.
• Assist with product development including scenario briefs, training schedules, and supply requests.
• Ensure the health, welfare, and safety of contracted role players, including food, water, rest, and sanitation discipline.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities):

• Ex-Special Forces Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) of Master Sergeant or higher, or Warrant/Commissioned Officer with expertise in unconventional warfare (UW).
• Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain a SECRET clearance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in scenario development and training coordination.
• Ability to work effectively in both garrison and field environments.

Physical Demands:

Candidates must be capable of physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and carrying of over 50 pounds, prolonged pulling, pushing, walking, and standing. This role also entails crawling, kneeling, repeated bending, and climbing using both legs and arms. Additionally, candidates should be able to operate heavy equipment and vehicles. Strong coordination and vision, both near and far, are required. The job may involve working in various environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, fumes, and working around machinery with moving parts or at extreme heights. Candidates must adapt to slippery surfaces, uneven terrain, and potential exposure to flammable materials or electrical energy.
