What You’ll Do This role is responsible for serving as a key collaborator in quarterly release and sprint planning, guiding the definition of capabilities, features, and functionality to support strategy and member-focused goals. Also, as a Single-Threaded Owner (STO) holds full accountability for a designated product’s vision, execution, and success, driving it with focused leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: - Gather and analyze requirements, determine acceptance criteria, and craft well former, accurate User Stories.
- Prioritize the product and sprint backlog, leading refinement sessions to ensure actionable outcomes.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert and business advocate, collaborating with technology, digital, and business SMEs to clarify requirements for the Scrum Team.
- Communicate the product vision and goals to the Agile Delivery team, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Contribute to estimation and work planning, enhancing sizing accuracy and planning effectiveness with the Scrum Team.
- Oversee the product release process, ensuring quality and alignment with member or employee experience pre- and post-launch.
- Lead discovery sessions, contributing domain and technical expertise for new features and projects.
- Set Sprint Goals, track timelines, and report delivery dates to stakeholders.
- As STO, own end-to-end responsibility for a specific product (e.g., Salesforce Field Service), making trade-off decisions to meet delivery milestones.
- Lead a dedicated cross-functional team, resolving blockers and iterating based on data and feedback to deliver measurable outcomes (e.g., 15% faster roadside service response).
- Dive deep into challenges, partnering with IT for CAB-approved changes, and innovate to simplify workflows or enhance UX.
- Contributes to a positive team dynamic through respectful interactions, positive contributions, and active collaboration to achieve department and organizational goals.
- Incorporates AAA’s vision, mission and values in day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to AAA’s vision mission and values.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor’s degree (BA) in business, information systems, or related field or equivalent experience
- 4+ years’ experience in product owner or product specialist role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - 1+ years’ experience in travel, insurance, subscription membership, and/or service-related industries
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: - Scrum PO certification preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: - Strong business acumen and communication skills.
- Proficiency in UX design, user flow, and wireframes.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies, including Scaled Agile Framework.
- Skilled in facilitating sessions to clarify features and priorities.
- Ability to challenge assumptions with an open mindset.
- Adaptable to shifting priorities and competing demands.
- Analytical skills to identify problems and actionable insights from data.
- Collaborative and independent work style across business units.
- Ability to build trust and influence others toward business goals.
SALARY: - Hiring Range: $105,876 - $126,990
- Full Pay Brand for the Role: $105,876 - $148,206

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical environment is typical of a standard office space. It requires the employee to work inside for the duration of work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, sitting for more than 50% of the time. This position will require occasionally moving about inside the office to access equipment, cabinets, etc. May work around office equipment which could be noisy, such as copiers and fax machines.
